555 allocations de recherche fléchées sur thématiques prioritaires

Les allocations de recherche représentent le principal mécanisme d’aide financière de l’Etat aux doctorants, avec 4000 allocations attribuées chaque année. Ces allocations de recherche sont attribuées aux écoles doctorales. L’allocation de recherche s’appuie sur un contrat à durée déterminée passé entre l’Etat et un doctorant afin de permettre à ce dernier de se consacrer pleinement et exclusivement à ses travaux de recherche pour la préparation de sa thèse. La préparation de la thèse s’effectue en trois ans.

Dans le cadre d’une nouvelle procédure mise en place en 2008, 555 allocations de recherche, fléchées sur des thématiques prioritaires affichées par le ministère de l’enseignement supérieur et de la recherche, sont notifiées aux ED au mois de mai 2008.

Destinés à attirer les meilleurs étudiants titulaires d’un master au niveau national et international, les 555 sujets prioritaires, répartis par thématique et par établissement, sont consultables sur ce site.

Les candidats trouveront, pour chaque sujet, une fiche présentant le projet de thèse et les contacts utiles. Le recrutement des candidats retenus est de la responsabilité des écoles doctorales.

PhD-Level funding supports to be opened to national and international mobility by the French ministry of Higher Education and Research - 555 subjects proposed to candidates in may 2008

State-funded doctoral grants provided by the French ministry of Higher Education and Research are the main financial support provided nationally for PhD-level research projects.

A new framework for PhD - programmes funding is set up as of May 2008 : 555 individual doctoral projects, aimed at prioritised research subjects, are opened to recruitment.

Allocated to French Doctoral Schools, these funding supports for doctoral research projects are opened to European and international mobility.

This funding process enables French Universities and other Higher education institutions to offer new recruitment opportunities to the best postgraduate students, holding a Master degree at international level. Each individual funding support relies on a 3 years grant associated with a contract.
